The date window at 3 o’clock is now much closer to the bezel, the hour markers have had their length reduced but are now thicker, the ‘Automatic’ inscription has been removed, and the minute track is now printed on a ring on the outer edge of the “Grande Tapisserie” dial. All these changes have the visual effect of making the dial cleaner and larger.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch features an ultra-thin 41mm case in stainless steel, gold and rose gold. With a blue or white dial, the new design cleverly enhances the aesthetics of the "Grande Tapisserie" dial, perfectly reflecting the balanced beauty and clear readability of the perpetual calendar function display. The dial design includes the traditional display functions required for a perpetual calendar, with a date display at three o'clock, a week display at nine o'clock, and a month and leap year display at twelve o'clock. The six o'clock position is an astronomically accurate moon phase display. The moon phase disk is made by laser engraving and deposition on aventurine material, and only needs to be adjusted once every 125 years and 317 days. In addition, its uniqueness lies in the fact that the outer ring of the dial can also display the 52 weeks of a year, and with the central pointer, the time measurement function is maximized. The perpetual calendar function is similar to a precision calculation device for a calendar mechanism, which can calculate the correct calendar mechanism autonomously without the user's participation.
